I grew up in upstate New York. My hometown sits on the southern end of the Adirondacks which meant hiking, camping, skiing, canoeing/kayaking, and just "being" outside was a part of my existence. Upstate NY is full of amazing colors in the fall...each year the mountains become painted with orange, red, yellow, and purple, then speckled with the evergreen trees as accents.
I have missed this transformation and have longed to bring my children back east for the fall. We get some good color from the trees that line the streets, but there just is something amazing about all those hills filled with color.
The hills still aren't "alive" with color here in Oregon, but this year seems to be the best year yet for color...so we just had to go out and play in it...
Have you gone out and played in the leaves yet??
